Chalk Hill Estate

A tribute to Cynthia Moss and the
Amboseli Trust for Elephants
March 24, 2001

Fred and Peggy Furth, proprietors of the Chalk Hill Estate Vineyards and Winery ( http://www.chalkhill.com ), hosted a dinner and an intimate evening with Cynthia Moss at Chalk Hill Estate.

Fred and Peggy had the rare opportunity (which they will always cherish, since prior to their visit, they had adopted a baby elephant) to spend time with the renowned elephant researcher, Cynthia Moss, at her Amboseli Elephant Research Project in Kenya in June of 2000.

Harvey Croze and Cynthia Moss are co-editing a new book that encompasses all the major research that has been carried out on the elephants in Amboseli. To be published by the University of Chicago Press in 2003, the working title is THE AMBOSELI ELEPHANTS: A LONG-TERM PERSPECTIVE ON A LONG-LIVED MAMMAL.
