Since January this year, in less than two months, nearly five hundred elephants were slaughtered in Cameroon. Despite offers of help sent by international organizations (IFAW, Unesco, Cites ...), Cameroonian President Paul Biya and his Chadian counterpart remain deaf and blind eye to this unprecedented carnage.

Bouba N'Djida National Park will lose all of its elephants if nothing is done now. We are all very shocked by these barbaric killings, but individually we are all helpless.

Elephants of Bouba N'Djida need specialists known as you, Cynthia, to launch a new alarm call internationally. I'm sure your celebrity can help reverse the trend. Therefore, on behalf of all the defenders of elephants and nature, I ask you to join Joyce Poole and Iain Douglas-Hamilton for your voices give a chance for these fabulous animals. The specialist Pierre Pfeffer had animated the french campaign "Amnesty for elephants” in 1989. Maybe you could start a similar campaign today.

You have done so much for elephants for decades. I am convinced that your struggle is far from over and we will be very many of you in the fight against trafficking in ivory.
