The EB family

I support the Amboseli Trust for Elephant's cause and good work. I have discovered ATE through the documentaries of Echo the Elephant Matriarch and the EB family, and I have grown fond of them.

How are the TA, TB, TC, and TD families? Are Slit Ear and Tallulah around? Who are the matriarchs of each family? Do any two families travel together often? How is Tolstoy?

Hello!!

Slit Ear and Tallulah both died in 2003. Tallulah was apart of the TD Family and Slit Ear from the TC.

The current matriarch of the TA Family is Tecla, born 1994 to Tuskless (born 1962, died 1997). As you may know, Tuskless is the daughter of the original matriarch, Torn Ear. Tulip, as you may of heard of, died in 2008. She was born in 1984. She was also tuskless and her daughter Tailess/Teryl is also tuskless.

The TB Family have now died out since Tania never produced a female offspring who could give birth and keep the family surviving.

The TC Family are now lead by Tara. She was born 1967 to Slit Ear, her second daughter after Tess (born 1963). Tess died.

Now the matriarch of the TD Family is Theodora, who was born 1967 to mother Teresia (born 1922, died 1984). Theodora is the sister of Tolstoy. Tolstoy is an impressive bull with his right tusk broken and a large left tusk. Tallulah was born 1963 to Trista, born 1938 to Teresia.
