Albino baby elephant first sighting by the Amboseli Elephant Research team in Amboseli National Park. Notice the white hair especially on the head and tail, pale skin and pinkish ears.

From Cynthia's newsletter, there are 2 albino calves now. Is it possible to do some DNA test to find out who their father is? It's a little worrisome that this bull will father many albino calves.
Yes, we'd certainly like to know if both these calves were indeed fathered by the same bull. We need to look into getting appropriate genetic support and permissions, but it's certainly something we'd like to do if possible. We'll keep you posted!
